10:19 am - but you don't have to take MY word for it... duh duh DUH!
I'm on my way to tutor a young child in the art of READING!
*happy happy happy*
It's only my second session but I had a great time last time. Also, it's their holiday party today, and I got him Chris Van Allsburg's (lesser known) book Just a Dream. It's about a boy who doesn't care about the environment and then he has a dream (in the way that only Chris Van' can bring to life) about what the world would be like if people didn't take care of the Earth.
I'd also like to mention that last week's reading passage was about Earth Day. Ain't I cute? :)
GOOD NEWS: Matt (my boss) came to my cubicle yesterday and told me that, although they're still not bringing me on full time, I'm being moved to an office on the creative side of the agency. (I'm currently in a cubicle on the LaunchForce side... they work with product innovation. All of the creatives and account directors are on the other side... near my NEW OFFICE!)
Score for small victories. I'm so jazzed. And, in true WG style, I'm not allowed to move there yet. I'm just allowed to think about it and fantasize. Like with my paycheck.

03:25 pm - another work email... anyone have a candidate?
WonderGroupies, Friends, Family:
Help! Do you know any local boys who would like to be ***paid to play videogames***?
We need boys age 7, 8, or 9, who are familiar with the Game Boy Advance platform (either have their own or have played someone else's).
The first 24 boys who qualify will be invited (as pairs of friends or brothers) to a central location, the Marriott in Union Center, on Thursday, December 29th to play games for an hour and then talk to us about the games.
In return for playing, each boy will receive $40!
If interested, please ******call Emily at 513.357.2955 extension 166******.
Leave your name and number if you get her voicemail.
Please forward this e-mail to as many people as you know, right now.
02:05 pm - admission of guilt
The new icon is temporary. I was tired of looking at me.
The image is from Neopets. Yes, I'm just going to come out and admit that I play Neopets rather frequently.
Current Mood: embarrassed

12:24 pm - oh yeah
And thanks to Yvette's retroactive luck, yesterday's presentation went really well. I only fucked up one little time, but I didn't turn red and start apologizing. I just made a joke at my own expense, which seemed to be the correct course of action.
More updates on work later. I'm sure you're dying to hear about work.
09:48 am - self serving challenge
Today, this made me smile:
Friday Fun Fact: More people are killed annually by donkeys than in plane crashes.
Hehehe. How did the donkeys...? Hehehe.
Today I have a challenge, sort of. Brianna's LJ icon change has reminded me that it's been a while since I changed my own avatar. So the challenge is *what* will that new avatar be? You don't have to make it for me (don't HAVE TO), but I don't even have a good idea. Should I use a picture from http://www.eebspics.blogspot.com? A premade icon? WHAT?!
Help me Rhonda.
Help help me Rhonda.
